TRAINING CELL

1. TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CREATIVITY:  Training program on creativityforthe students was conducted in the college premises on 05.08.09. The Students were given training on flower cutting. The training was conducted by Mr.Jeetu student of Fine Arts College, New Delhi. This Program was conducted in the class room itself. This program was useful to enrich their creativity.

 2. INDIAN NAVY RECRUITMENT UNDER UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME Indian Navy had planned to Recruit Engineers under university entry scheme. Around 10 Students of ECE had applied and the application and the relevant details were provided by the Placement cell and the 1st round of selection will be held in the month of October 2009.

3. TEACHING METHODOLOGY PROGRAM:   This program was conducted for the Lecturers in the college premises on 21.08.09. The aim of the program to make them Effective teachers and self analysis were made to correct their mistakes so that their way of teaching will be Effective. The training was conducted by Mr.Nagalingam of Nikhil foundation along with his team from Madurai and there were 29 Lecturers Participated in the program. The Program was a great success and it created an impact.  

4. ACADEMIA INTERACTION WORKSHOP 2009:   This program was organized by CII Madurai in coordination with Honeywell Technologies. This program was conducted in the Honeywell Technology solutions in SPA IT towers near Mattuthavani in Madurai. Placement cell identified the suitable participant for the above said program. Lecturer P.Vishalashi of CSE Department was shortlisted to attend the program. The program was of two phases of total 10days.  The first phase was from 24.08.09 to 28.08.09 covered the topic related to OOPS using C++ and the Second phase was from 21.09.09 to 25.09.09 covered the topic related to .Net and Java. The program was effective and the participant had a great experience as the program was conducted by Honeywell technology.

5. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:   This program was conducted for the Final year students of all the branches in the college premises on 25.08.09 & 26.08.09.The training was conducted by Mr. Shiva Kumar of Shiva’s Career & Development Institute from Chennai. This two days program was aimed in imparting Personality Development and Various techniques to face the interview for the final year students. This program was attended by 83 Students and all the Participants appreciated the program and asked to conduct the same type of program in near future. The Program was a great success and it created an impact.

6. FIRE & SAFETY PROGRAM:  This program conducted on 15.9.09 for the Non Teaching staff in the college premises by Mr.Madhavan from Usha fire & Safety from Madurai. The aim of the program to know what are the safety measures to be taken while there is fire breakdown and also the various rescue methods are  imparted to the participants. There were 14 Non teaching Staff attended the program. In the open ground practical demonstration was shown how to put off the fire by using cardboard and fire Extinguishers. All the Participants appreciated the program and asked to conduct the same type of program in near future.

7. RELIANCE MONEY TRAINING PROGRAM:  This program is conducted on 16.9.09 for the MBA Final year Students by Mr.karthikeyan Reliance Money Head -Tamilnadu and Mr. Vincent Reliance Money in the College premises. They had planned to conduct 18 sessions out of which two sessions completed on 16.9.09.All the students involved in the program and Mr.Karthikeyan briefed about their company and their products. The program was appreciated by the Students of MBA.

8. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:  This program was conducted for the Final year students of MCA in the college premises on 25.9.09 by Mr.Balakrishnan of Realize Chennai. There were 20 students attended the program. The program given impact and they gained Knowledge how to face interview and personality development. All the Participants appreciated the program.

9. INDIAN AIR FORCE IN SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION AS FLYING PILOT:  Indian Air force had planned to Recruit Engineers for flying pilot in short service commission. Around 15 Final year Students had applied on 3.10.09 and the application and the relevant details were provided by the Placement cell and the 1st round of selection will be intimated to the individual.

10. RELIANCE MONEY TRAINING PROGRAM:  This program was conducted  on 6.10.09 for the MBA Final year Students by Mr.Karthikeyan Reliance Money Head -Tamilnadu and Mr. Vincent Reliance Money in the College premises. Third session was conducted on 6.10.09. All the students involved in the program and Mr.Karthikeyan briefed about their company and share market. The program was appreciated by the Students of MBA.

11. BRAHMOS AEROSPACE AS EXECUTIVE TRAINEE    Government of India had planned to recruit Executive trainee in Brahmos aerospace and the Eligible criteria were that the students who were above 75% are asked to apply from CSE and ECE departments. There were 8 students who were Eligible to apply for the above said position. The students had applied on 9.10.2009 and the application and the relevant details were provided by the Placement cell and they will be called for an Interview and call letter would be send to the individual.

12. EMINENT SOLUTION AWARENESS PROGRAM:  This program was conducted for the Final year students of MCA & CSE in the college premises on 15.10.09 by Mr.Senthil Kumar CEO of Eminent solution IT company Madurai. There were 40 students attended the program. The program gave the awareness about Search engine optimization and current software technologies. All the Participants appreciated the program and given feedback about the program.

13. SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CAPACITY BUILDING FOR INDUSTRIAL      NEEDS :
          Science & Technology capacity building for industrial needs program for the Engineering students for the Sivagangai areas was organized by St. Michael college of Engg & Tech kalayarkoil on  09-02-2010 to 20-02-2010. The aim of the program is to give what the Industry Expects from the students.

14.. FACULTY DEVELOPMENTPROGRAM:   This program was conducted for the Lecturers in the college premises on 13.03.2010 at Michael institute of Management .The aim of the program to make them Effective teachers and self analysis were made to correct their mistakes so that their way of teaching will be Effective. The training was conducted by Mr.Bharath of Carrier cell from Chennai.
