Hostels – Homely Care

It is a home away from home. Separate hostels for both boys and girls in two different places. A separate EB line is provided for the hostels. R.O. plant water is accessible to the hostel students.

We have 5 hostels for 650 boys and 3 hostels for 350 girls with well furnished airy rooms, mess and all amenities.

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Hostellers are not allowed to keep large amount of cash or valuables in their possession (rings/costly watches/jewels, mobile phones etc.).
  • Hostellers should lock their rooms whenever they leave.
  • No pictures or posters shall be posted on the walls.
  • No scribbling on the walls or doors by any means of writing.
  • Fans and lights shall be put off when not in use.
  • Care should be taken to see that the water taps are closed when not in use.
  • Any malfunctioning of utility equipments like fans, lights, water taps etc. must be immediately reported in the complaint register which is with Warden.
  • Illness should be reported without delay to the sub warden and warden.
  • Damaging hostel properties will entail severe disciplinary action.
  • Bonafide visitors only are allowed to see the inmates with the permission from the warden. The students have to provide a list of bonafide visitors in the standard form when they join the hostel.
  • Students must be present within the hostel before 6:00 PM, whenever they go for outing and when they come from their hometown.
  • Students are not allowed to stay in hostel during vacations except those required, as part of the academic program, to carry or take part in specific tasks approved by his/her relevant Head of Department and the Coordinator.
  • If any day scholar student likes to stay in the hostel due to any inconvenience in their health or with any valuable reason, should get permission from the Coordinator, Warden and should report to the Sub Warden of the block in which they have assigned .Those students are required to pay for boarding and lodging and to observe the same rules of the hostel.
  • For all the Inmates, study time morning & evening will be strictly maintained.
  • Electric kettles, heaters, irons or any other appliances should not be used in the rooms. The students are required to make use of the facilities which are provided by the college.
  • Students are not allowed to cook meals in their rooms.
  • Liquors, illegal drugs etc. is strictly prohibited.
  • If a student leaves a hostel for any reason during working days, they should get prior permission from the Head of Department, Coordinator, Sub Warden and Warden.  During weekends, permission of Sub Warden and Warden is needed. If the student fails to do so, will be subjected to any disciplinary action.
