ABOUT THE TRUST: With an objective to deliver world class quality education in a structured and systematic manner, the founder chairman, a strict disciplinarian, and visionary Late Ln. Dr. V. Michael, B.E., M.I.S.E., Ph. D (USA) Established a Charitable Trust in the name and style of St. Michael Educational and Charitable Trust in the year 1993. It was long ago that this visionary had envisioned to impart wholesome education especially to the economically poor and socially deprived section of people. Having trust in god the Almighty, it has obtained the trusts of many who have come to it so far. It has grown leaps and bounds in two decades and its ambition to become a University is not far away.

THE LEGACY OF THE FOUNDER: Kalvi Rethna Late Ln. Dr. V. Michael, B.E., M.I.S.E., Ph. D (USA) was a treasure found in the soil of southern Region of Tamil Nadu. He was an eye opener and a source of bread winner for many a families today. He was a light unto those who were in darkness of illiteracy. Through the long years of suffering, he sustained and surpassed the times of hardships and today stands like a fort built on rock proclaiming the good news through St. Michael Educational and Charitable Trust offering value based education at an affordable cost. This Visionary had over three decades of experience in the field of Education and for him the aim of education is not the knowledge accumulated through mere facts and figures but the knowledge gained out of the values that we cherish in our character.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: St. Michael college of Engineering and Technology is the first institution to venture quality technical education in the rural region of Sivagangai district. It was established by the founder chairman Late Ln. Dr. V. Michael, B.E., M.I.S.E., Ph. D (USA) in the year 1998. It is situated on Madurai, Thondi National Highway, Kalayarkoil -630 551, Sivagangai District, Tamilandu. It is about 60 km from Madurai and about 15 Km from Sivagangai. One decade has passed by from the inception of this college. The need and demand for the quality technical education is obvious from the way it has grown in these 13 years. The Trust has established 14 other Institutions during these 13 years. The college is spread over 150 acres of land. It is far from the din and bustles of busy cities and Located in a serene atmosphere. The infrastructure and other special features unique to this college project it to be prominent and stand out from the rest of the Institutions. What we offer must be a gift of lifetime rather than just a four year long period of Study. We repeat that we offer values and not mere knowledge.
